The Stable Reviews

Emma
We loved the cottage’s central spot for visiting family in Brampton. It’s cosy, well-stockedand offers great value for money. Definitely recommend it for a stay!
James
Honestly, the place was a bit worn outand with the heat, the fridge didn’t keep things cold enough, so we lost some food. The kitchen felt quite cramped and a bit tired looking. The decking outside the conservatory wasn’t very safe either. No windows in the lounge, but hey, the price was decent and we had a good stay.
James
We found the place quite cosy and warm, which was great for November. The kitchen was on the small side but had all we needed for cooking ourselves, though the fridge freezer did make a pretty loud ticking noise-could be a bit annoying. The bathroom was spacious with both a bath and showerand the hot water was plentiful. The bed in the bedroom was really comfyand there were standard cupboards for storage. The only downside was the lack of coat hooks; with wet coats outside, we had to hang them on chairs in the conservatory, which wasn’t ideal. Overall, good value for exploring Carlisle and the Northern Lakes!
