Guests need to be made aware of the very busy main rd that the property is on ! Also general tidying of the areas outside is required some areas very untidy and tired and looks like a building site with Eris fencing around. Nice cottage inside
This is out 3rd visit, a group of friends using the property for an early festive break. Beautiful location and stunning views across the valley from the hot tub. Bedrooms and property comfortable, the kitchen containing everything you need. Owners are very helpful and reply quickly if you need to ask questions.
We had a fantastic 4 day holiday the house suited the needs of the family 8 adults 2 children and 4 dogs. We enjoyed the hot tub and they have a great selection of games which we played in the evening. The owners were very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent property, well kitted out. Property stayed warm even when it was 7C outside. Hot tub was excellent, well maintained. Lovely pub nearby 'The Greyhound Inn' would recommend it to anyone staying at the property.

Lovely cottage lovely view shame about the weather
Cottage was lovely but not suitable for disabled. The stairs were a problem. No taxis so could not go for a drink. More for younger people who really enjoyed it.
We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed exploring an area of Lakes we did not know well before. The cottage was a great space with lots of comfortable bedrooms and the hot tub was one area we particularly enjoyed. The various staircases we a challenge ifelderly or suffering from a disability but a thoroughly enjoyable experience overall. Thanks
Had a great stay here, was ideal for a group of us cannot fault the property or the owners. Hot tub was a bonus, would definitely go again.
Home from home we had a lovely week, would definately go again!

Nicola
With Covid 19 in mind. The cleanliness could have been better!

Lovely place great views
Excellent location to access the Zoo, the Ravenglass railway and Lake Coniston and Windermere. Views from the hot tub were lovely.
Super... ...... Great cottage, Great weather, Great walks from the door, Great pub just a stroll away, Great location for Coniston activities, Great views from the Jacuzzi.....
Lodge was so clean and tidy everyone was so friendly. A short walk to the local pub fantastic food and so friendly .Only thing is local garage not open till late morning and closes early you just need to make sure you have everything you need.
Joanne
The lodge was really well equipped with everything you could need on a holiday and more, we all really enjoyed it, our only negative was the alarm in the kitchen i believe it was a heat alarm but was located right above the oven so us cooking breakfast each morning triggered it! Very small thing though in an overall really lovely place.
Andrina
We visited as a family of 8, between 1 year and 53 years, both male and female. Staying a week, we were lucky enough to have fantastic weather. The house is well situated on a small hill, with super views. The gardens are nice and child friendly. Over all we found the house poorly maintained and it could have been cleaner. There were lots of cobwebs and the furniture is well worn. The kitchen has been very well used and its well past the stage that it should be upgraded. There was some Engagement confetti beside the TV unit, which I do not think was left there this month. When you sit on the upstairs toilet in the shower room, it slips to the side. General finishes around the showers, sinks and bath have mould and is coming away at parts. The hot tub or should I say the hot bath, is like other things in the house past its best. Only one jet works, which means its more like a hot bath than a hot tubspa. The house is handy for all areas in the south of the Lake District, however, its a bit of a drive to Bowness and Windermere. The description mentions 15 minutes then 25 minutes, which may be achievable as the crow flies. However, on about three occasions the fastest it took us was 40 minutes.
Beautiful location with amazing views. Gardens were lovely and beautifully kept. The cottage was very well equipped had everything you could think of. Hot tub was a lovely touch however only half of the jets worked which was a bit disappointing! Only thing I would recommend a hose outside to wash off the dogs after walks on wet days! Would totally recommend this cottage and we will certainly be back. Thank you so much.
